Content Generation

The Web is content. Content is the web. One of the most integral aspects of any marketing, advertising, or web development initiative is, therefore, content management. Content displayed online becomes the face that you present to the world. At Melcher, our writers, graphical artists, and videographers have the skills and experience necessary to ensure that your business is represented in the best possible way online. Whether you are the owner of a new business having a site developed for the first time, or you are simply giving your existing site a facelift, we can effectively manage your content for you!

All online content should accomplish one of three things:

  1. Provide Information
  2. Reinforce a Strategic Brand and Build Trust
  3. Make a Sales Pitch

We will ensure that every word on every page of your site, every picture, every image, every video effectively accomplishes one of content’s 3 goals. Our staff can write professional copy (the words on the page - product descriptions, a company profile, etc.), create unique graphics, or develop animation and video to suit any purpose for your business!

Translation Services

Melcher Media & Design offers translation services, in either direction, in English, French, and Spanish. Our translators convert written material from one or more 'source languages' into the ‘target language,’ ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible. A key component of translation is preserving nuance, context, and implied meaning.

Our translators can work in a variety of writing styles, including (but not limited to): scientific, technical, commercial, literary, legal, and educational.  The translation process usually involves some combination of the following activities:

  • Reading original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained.
  • Using specialist resources and reference books to find equivalents for specific or obscure terminology.
  • Researching legal, technical, and scientific phraseology to find a correct translation.
  • Liaising with clients to discuss points of uncertainty.
  • Consulting with experts in specialist areas.
  • Proofreading and editing final translated versions.
  • Providing clients with grammatically correct and eloquent final versions of target text.
  • Retaining and developing a specialist knowledge base in the areas of translation.
