Melcher Studios is pleased to announce that the first of our Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) training courses is now available to industry. With the help of industry partners, we have completed a VR/AR course designed to teach learners about fall safety.

The course provides learners with the information they need to know about fall safety in an environment that is far more immersive and realistic than standard classroom training. The course is also augmented with our prototype Fall Protection Simulator. This physical piece of equipmen, used in conjunction with our Fall Safety VR system, helps the user to be a realistic training experience while totally safe. The equipment simulates real world forces on the trainee’s body, and by doing so, students learn quickly and retain more information.

The course made its debut this spring at the in Saskatoon, and show attendees were eager to try the course. Melcher Studios is continuing work on a series of e-learning VR/AR safety training modules for industry across Saskatchewan and the country. VR/AR training is the new frontier in industry training, and Melcher is proud to be at the forefront.
